How to Cook Fruit Cake Tins
Soak dried fruit in water for an hour to make them nice and plump. Add syrup to pot along with soda and milk on a medium heat and mix together constantly stirring, then add in rest of ingredients.
Once mixed well, place into 3 empty tin cans (grease first). Fill mixture 2/3rds of the way up the tins, then put tin foil over the lid and put into a pot of boiling water.
Make sure water is only half way up the tins!
Steam for 1 hour with the lid on.
Be careful when taking the tins out as they will be very hot!
