Check The Weather Radar BEFORE you leave!

The most important part of any days drive, is to check the radar before you set out. (As well as current Australian Road Conditions).

We ran into dreadful trouble whilst driving along the east coast of tasmania, when we didnt check the weather radar and ran into an enormous rain system and was very nearly stranded on the side of the road. 3 ways in but all were closed and we only just made it by the skin of our teeth on the 4th. we were the last car and caravan allowed in. It's terrifying and you feel an enormous sence of fear knowing you are at the hands of mother nature.

So our travel tip is: Check the weather radar before you set out!
