Killarney & Goondiwindi, QLD

Killarney is the hidden haven just 3 hours inland from the Gold Coast. It is so serene and with some of the countries most gorgeous waterfalls - Dagg Falls and Queen Mary Falls are the best.  They are a bit of a hike to get to, but definately well worth it.  Its also home to the world famous Killarney Meats, make sure you stock up at the local butchery before you leave town.  Killarney has a servo, pub & bistro, newsagent and great butcher but the best supermarket is about 40 mins away.  We stayed at the Killarney View Cabins & Caravan Park and boy what a place! Then we head further inland to Goondiwindi, the home of the famous racehorse Gunsynd, and with the town motto as Winners Are Grinners, you can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome.  All major amenites here, make sure you take in a Cotton farm tour too, its amazing what you will learn. We stayed at the Gundy Star Tourist Park which also has the delightful Melanesian Spa.
